You will discover the power of nutrition.
The problem is there are so many confusing messages out there. We will focus on the importance of nutrition and the quality of the food we eat. Decoding food labels. Understanding how to correct imbalances within the body nutritionally.
Gut Health & Immunity
Understand how the inner ecological system of your immune system works. We cover the physiology and functionality of your digestive system, the key organs involved and their role in nutrient absorption. You will learn what happens when the function fails and how to maintain a healthy gut microbiome through nutrition. We can also touch on pre and probiotics, intermittent fasting, the gut-brain connection, allergens, gluten and the skin gut connection.
Hormones & Imbalances
Adrenal hormones, sex hormones, thyroid hormones, melatonin, cortisol, adrenaline, autonomic nervous system and how this all affects you, how you feel and your weight.
Weight Loss
Do you count calories to lose weight? Most women do at some point in their life. They struggle to see much weight loss at all and many of us end up gaining MORE weight long term. MOST women DON’T lose weight and keep it off by following a calorie deficit. It’s not that calories don’t matter or that they can’t be a useful metric to help us achieve our health goals. I will show you helpful tips and tricks that supersede calories and control the action of calories in our bodies.

At Self Care Studio we believe that a ‘one size fits all approach’ when it comes nutrition is NOT the way to go. Our bio-individuality is really what makes us unique. At different ages and different stages throughout our life we need to fuel our body with what it needs and this can change over time.
We all respond to different things at different times in different ways. We will chat about the powerful benefits of superfoods and learn what is an actual superfood, not what is just marketed to us in the media.
Sugar, Wheat & Stuff
If you don’t suffer from food intolerances, you likely know someone who does.
